BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) is an Indian Government established Maharatna oil & gas corporation headquartered in Maharashtra (Mumbai). The Corporation manages 2 big factories of the land located in Mumbai & Kochi. The organization is India’s second-largest downstream oil firm and is placed 275th on the Fortune list of the world’s greatest companies as of 2019. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited ranked six hundred seventy-two in the Forbes 2018 listing.
The organization now is known as BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) began off as the Rangoon Oil & Exploration organization set up to examine the new developments off Burma and Assam through the British colonial rule of Asia. In the year 1889 as a vast technical development, an influential player in the South Asian business was the Burmah Oil Business. Though included in Scotland in the year 1886, the organization started out of the activities of the Chef Rohit Oil firm, which had been established in the year 1871 to improve crude oil delivered from first-hand-dug wells in Upper Burma.
In the year 1928, the Asiatic Petroleum Company in India began cooperation with the Burma oil business. Asiatic Petroleum was a shared risk of Royal Dutch, Rothschilds and Shell made to discuss the monopoly of John D Rockefeller’s Standard Oil, which also worked in Asia as Esso. This collaboration led to the development of Burmah-Shell Oil Distributing and Storage Company of Asia Limited. Burmah Shell started its work operations with the marketing and import of Kerosene.
